My DC Trip
So about 2 weeks ago my brother and I got to go on a trip to Washington DC to see both the city and our friends. Here are some of my highlights from the trip.
So, the first day of our touring we got a tour of the White House, went to Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and also said hello to the Lincoln Memorial of course.

The second day me and my friend went touring around the National Mall. We went to the Capital Building to take pictures (above), the Botanic Gardens (below), National Art Gallery, National museum of Natural History, the Castle, Hirshhorn museum and Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

The next day we decided to take a trip to Joint Base Andrews to see an Air Show. The air show included many different stunt planes, WWII planes and of course the magnificent Blue Angles (above). At the air show we also saw the Shockwave which is the fastest semi truck in the world. It is powered by 3 jet engines. Over all it was a super fun time and I am super glad that we made it over to see it. That night we saw the Marine Barracks Parade which isn't really a parade at all but the band plays (below). As we were watching the parade it stared to pour rain and thunder. We were soaked to the bones. But I am still glad we went even though it poured rain.

Lastly, we got to attend the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery (below). That was super interesting and I highly recommend going. After we went I would actually like to research more about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier because to me the information was actually a little confusing and I didn't completely understand it.
In conclusion, it was a super fun trip. Not only did we get to see our really good friends but we also saw a lot of historical places. I look forward to hopefully going back again but with my own kids one day. Haha.
Note: Everything posted that is either written or a picture is mine. I ask that my pictures are to not be downloaded or used in any way unless stated otherwise.
